International Program

Become a Knight!

Northridge welcomes students from all over the world who seek a wholesome educational experience. The International Program provides the individual support and attention your son needs to succeed at our school. Please take a moment to learn more our program. We look forward to meeting you!

Our Very Own Families

At Northridge, the word “Homestay” does not merely refer to room and board. We count on the support of our very own families to host students during their time with us; Northridge families open their doors to international students treating them as one of their own. During the admissions process, we make it a priority to fully understand who the student is and where he comes from. This allows us to match him with the right host family.

Mastering the English Language

At Northridge, International Students have the option of enrolling in the ESL (English as a Second Language) program. Intended to provide more in-depth instruction of the English language, this is a Monday-to-Thursday class offered in addition to the regular school curriculum. Students are placed in the appropriate ESL class based on their proficiency level. Our ESL Program has proven to be a crucial part of the Northridge Full-immersion experience; note that enrollment in this program is a requirement for students in need of more practice.

Local Excursions

One of our goals is to offer a complete cultural experience to our students. With this in mind, we set aside two Saturdays of each month for excursions in Chicagoland. From admiring masterpieces at the Art Institute of Chicago to visiting some of Chicago’s towering buildings to enjoying the sights and sounds of the historic Wrigley Field, we lead a variety of full-day excursion plans catered to meet all interests.

“My experience here in Chicago with my host family was amazing. My host family was so attentive with me, they were very good people and always asking me if I needed or wanted something. Thanks to them I learned a lot of things like how to play baseball and hockey. Host families are like a real family.“
