Registration, Waitlist & Cancellations
Do I need an ACTIVE Account to register my son? If this is your first time registering your son, you do not need to create an Active account in advance. At the end of your registration, Active will prompt you to create a password and account.
Waitlist. Even if a camp is full, you may register your son up for the waitlist. Your credit card will not be charged when you sign him up on the waitlist. When a spot becomes available in a program, the first person on the waitlist will automatically receive an invitation by email. You will have 24 hours to register via this invitation. If your son is taken off the waitlist, you will be contacted to pay your due balance. Especially on the first day of registration, please periodically check your email to see if you've received this automated email.
Cancellations. There is a 25% cancellation fee for all of our camps. All camps are first come first serve and we cannot reserve spots. You are able to cancel your registration yourself on the Active Network Website. If you have trouble, feel free to reach out to us and we will arrange your cancellation. There will be no refunds on cancellations within 2 weeks of the start of each camp. There will be no refunds for days missed from camp. There will be no camps that have cancellations or changes in dates.
If I have a question about registration, who do I contact? Email us if it's not pressing at summer@northridgeprep.org, or call the school at (847) 375-0600.
Camp Planning
How do I get updates, daily schedules, and more about my son’s camp? Before each camp, Directors will email all parents with schedule information, updates, or specific details pertaining to your son’s camp.
When will Camp Directors send updates? All Camp Directors will send email reminders / updates 2 months, 1 month, and 1 week before your son’s camp.
Does Northridge supply Before or After Care During Camp? There is no specified before & after care services provided. That being said, please contact individual camp directors if there are situations that arise. There will be people in the building and campers can wait in the atrium before and after camp.
What if one of my sons gets into the camp and the other is waitlisted? We do our best to keep siblings together. If you are in this situation, please call Northridge.
Can my son bring a cell phone? Cell phones at Northridge Prep are to be used only for contacting parents by phone or by text. Using a phone for Social Media or Video games is not allowed. Your son will be reminded to put his phone away and interact with his peers.
If I have a question, who do I contact? Please email your son’s Camp Director for camp-specific questions. The names and email addresses of all Camp Directors can be found on their camp page on www.northridgeprep.org/summer. Have a more general question? Contact us at summer@northridgeprep.org.
Lunch, Pick Up & Drop Off
Drop-off / Pickup. Campers will sign in and sign out at the beginning and end of camp in the atrium. Walk in through the front doors where there are two Northridge Summer Flags.
Where can my son eat lunch? Campers should plan on bringing their own lunches. Campers eat lunch in the Northridge Atrium between two half-day camps or with their full-day camp. During lunch, there are board games and counselor supervision.
Age Range & Epi Pens
Is the entering grade range flexible? Please register your son according to the grade he will be in after the summer. All of our camps are listed according to the grade your son will be rising into. If your son does not fall in the age range of a particular camp you want to sign him up for, please contact the individual camp director to ask if it is OK to register.
Epi Pens. Individual Camp Directors will have information available about your son's allergies through the sign up process. However, it is important that if your son will be outdoors and needs an Epi Pen, that he carry it with him at all times.
A staff member of each outdoor camp will be trained in administering Epi Pens.
