Summer Program FAQs

Do I need an ACTIVE Account to register my son? If this is your first time registering your son, you do not need to create an Active account in advance. At the end of your registration, Active will prompt you to create a password and account.

Before registration opens, can I log into my ACTIVE account? Yes, your Active account will be available at the following link. Please note that camp details are not available until registration opens on Active.

If I have a question, who do I contact? Please email your son’s Camp Director for camp-specific questions. The names and email addresses of all Camp Directors can be found on their specific camp page. Have a more general question? Contact us at

How do I get updates, daily schedules, and more about my son’s camp? Before the first day of each camp, your son's camp director will email all parents with schedule information, updates, and other specifics about to your son’s camp.

When will Camp Directors send updates? All Camp Directors will send email reminders / updates 2 months, 1 month, and 1 week before your son’s camp. 

Does Northridge supply Before or After Care During Camp? Not currently. That being said, if you have a specific situation arise and you need to drop your son off early or pick him up late, please contact your son's Camp Directors, as there will be people in the building before and after camp sessions each day.

Lunch, Pick Up & Drop Off

Drop-off / Pickup. Campers will sign in and sign out at the beginning and end of camp in the atrium. Walk in through the front doors, next to the two Northridge Summer Flags.

Lunch. For campers attending all-day camps, or who are attending both a morning and an afternoon camp, a summer programs staff member will collect money (cash only) from campers who want to order food from Jimmy John's. 


Age Range & Epi Pens

Is the entering grade range flexible? Campers must fall within the range for entering next school year (ie. a current 1st grader can sign up for any camp listed for entering 2nd grade).

Are there any exceptions to the rule? If your son does not fall in the specified age range for a particular camp, you may contact the individual Camp Director to see if he would be willing to make an age-range exception for your son.

Epi Pens. Individual Camp Directors will have information available about your son's allergies via the registration process. However, if your son's camp is outdoors, its is important he carry it with him at all times. Each outdoor camp has a staff member trained on administering Epi Pens.

The Waitlist & Cancellations

Waitlist. Even if a camp is full, you may register your son for the waitlist. Your credit card will not be charged when you complete registration to sign him up for the waitlist. If your son is taken off the waitlist, you will be contacted to pay your due balance.

Cancellations. There is a 25% cancellation fee for all of our camps. All camps are first come first serve and we cannot reserve spots in advance. There will be no refunds on cancellations within 1 week of the start of each camp. In addition:

  • Our camp dates & camp offerings are final and will not change.
  • There will be no refunds if your son misses days of camp, or has to cancel once the camp has begun.
