Middle School Band performs in two major school concerts each year in fall and spring. In addition, our Middle School Band is regularly invited to play at other schools. The band plays pieces such a “Lord of the Rings,” “The Lion King,” Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” “Pictures at an Exhibition,” “Pink Panther,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Star Wars”, “The Avengers,” and more!
Skills & Benefits
Participating in Middle School band is an important stepping-stone for students. Through it, they get the requisite experience to participate in High School band.
Music lessons offered before and after school.
Full rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday during Activity / Elective Period and Monday after lunch. Brass sectional is Wednesday after lunch, and Woodwind sectional is Friday after lunch. Band members may participate in other Clubs during Activity and after lunch on the days they do not have rehearsal. We highly recommend that middle school band members attend a weekly lesson before or after school to continue improving their own playing and the overall sound of the band.
