Tuesday & Thursday
Do you enjoy learning science through team-work and in an active, hands-on way? Are you curious about branches of science such as genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, astronomy, mechanical engineering and technology? Science Olympiad competitions are like academic track meets that challenge your ability to learn and apply scientific principles in an ever-changing world. Students will meet to develop deeper insights in science through research and investigation. They will also prepare for and participate in one or two local competitions this school year. A few of the many possible topics for investigation this year are Crime Busters, Reach for the Stars, Bridge Building, Wind Power, and Air Trajectory. Led by Mr. Viego, Science teacher.
