In this introductory filmmaking course, students will explore visual storytelling from concept to finished project. The club aims to develop students’ talents in pre-production, production, and post production of videos. Together, we will be creating short, exciting, funny, and compelling stories that engage audiences.
Mr. Knight brings his experience working in a production company in Los Angeles where he helped produce dozens of concert films, music videos, and other promotional video content. At Northridge, he is behind the scenes creating all the material that tells the Northridge story, including several promotional video projects.
Skills & Benefits
Making engaging, high-quality creative content is hard. Through this challenging process, students should develop the ability to collaborate on many types of creative projects, and gain the foundational knowledge and vocabulary required to appreciate or critique the great masters of filmmaking. Among other opportunities, talented students have the opportunity to intern for the Northridge Summer Programs.
