Professionals in any field need to make economic decisions – how to best spend one’s time, where to invest savings, what job or career to pursue, etc. Economics & Finance will introduce students to fundamental concepts in micro and macroeconomics and explore their applications in finance and investing, providing students with the tools and framework necessary for properly analyzing these economic decisions.
Events & Topics
The class will cover a wide range of micro and macroeconomic concepts: supply & demand, variable and fixed costs, profit, international trade, fiscal and monetary policy, etc. In addition, the class will delve into principles of finance: market theory, money supply, financial statement analysis, etc.
Skills & Benefits
Students will come away with a fundamental understanding of economic forces, a working knowledge of the financial markets, and the ability to do high-level investment analysis.
