Monday & Wednesday
New to Northridge! Brian Moore, NRP Dad and professional photographer, will teach the fundamentals of photography. Students will learn and practice the core elements that make a great photo: balance, geometry, color elements, lighting, and more. Students will also learn how to work with Adobe Photoshop, the tools used by professionals to edit and enhance their photos. Mr. Moore will lead students on practice sessions, followed by sharing photos and group feedback.
Students are asked to bring their own camera, but nothing fancy is required. Smartphone cameras are more than adequate to learn how to take great shots (they will be allowed during this club, photo taking purposes only). In addition, the school will provide some high quality cameras to be shared among the students – a resource we hope to grow. The school will provide Adobe Photoshop in our computer lab.
Students in this club will also be asked [as their schedule permits] to cover school events and take photos for use in the Knightly News. School cameras will be provided for this purpose, which will be both great practice and a service.
