Materials Science and Technology introduces students to the understanding of the properties of materials and their role in our daily lives. This fall semester the club will give students an opportunity to focus on glasses, ceramics and polymers and develop appreciation for their importance by performing a variety of hands-on activities. A heavily project-based club, students will be completing projects of personal worth to them. Potentially, the club may also explore biofuels including the synthesis, analysis and testing of these renewable fuels. The club will meet during the regular Activity Period twice a week and depending on student interest, potentially have a few meetings after school. Led by Dr. Baello, Mathematics and Science teacher.
