Creating Your Son’s Course Schedule. We will email your son’s math placement within two weeks of his math placement test. If we are not able to accommodate your son’s language preference (a rare occurrence), we will contact you over the summer.
Our Head of School will then build the rest of your son’s course schedule – and the school’s schedule – around his Math and Language tracks. His courses will follow our curriculum, as outlined on our website for High School or Middle School.
You will receive his completed course schedule at New Student Orientation on August 18.
Clubs. We have an activity period in the middle of the school day during which students can participate in elective clubs (Band, Chess, Robotics, Debate, Art Academy, etc.). In August you will receive an email with information on these clubs. You should review this information with your son to encourage him to consider which he will choose. On the first day of school there will be a club fair allowing students to meet with club moderators (faculty and/or volunteers) to make final selections. You will then be asked to approve your son’s selection.
Textbooks & Technology. Textbooks will be distributed during the first few days of school by each faculty member. All textbooks are the property of Northridge. Once received by your son, he will be responsible for the condition of his books.
Your son will receive login information for the student computer lab at Northridge at New Student Orientation on August 18.
Edline. This is a password-protected internet site that allows teachers and the administration to communicate information with students and parents such as grades, homework, and course syllabi. At the beginning of each school year, both the new students and their parents will receive an activation code in order to access the system. This account information will be given to you at New Student Orientation on August 18.
