Northridge Is Turning 50!

A MESSAGE FROM OUR HEADMASTER

Next year marks a truly momentous milestone: the 50th anniversary of the founding of Northridge Preparatory School. The first day of school was September 9, 1976, and the 2026-27 school year will be our 50th.

Throughout these decades, across 5 locations and many challenges, Northridge has always stayed true to its mission. This was possible only because of the dedication and generosity of everyone involved: parents, teachers, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the school. Your generosity has borne incredible fruit in the lives of over a thousand alumni and their families. And, it is the reason Northridge is thriving today.

This is worthy of a big celebration! Throughout the 2026-27 school year, we will mark this milestone in ways big and small. September 9 will be a special event day at Northridge for our students. We’ll share past photos and memories throughout the year in Knightly News and alumni newsletters.

The centerpiece will be a special celebration gala on Saturday, April 17, 2027, and I want to personally invite you to join us.

The gala will be a night to remember: a reunion, a celebration, and a chance to show our gratitude to the generations who built Northridge. And it will be a lot of fun! We hope that most of our current and past faculty and staff will attend, as guests of the school at no cost to them, and that as many alumni and past parents as possible will join us as well.

The gala, in one sense, replaces Dinner at The Ridge. We’ll do it off-site to ensure space for everyone. But in another sense, it will just be a special version of Dinner at The Ridge, with entertainment by our students honoring those on whose shoulders they stand.
