Maryhill Cemetery, and the property Northridge has leased from the Archdiocese of Chicago, is unincorporated Cook County, adjacent to the Village of Niles. However, Northridge desires to work with Village of Niles officials to ensure that any developments will enhance, not detract, from the neighborhood and village strategies.

Northridge brings a number of benefits to the Niles community:

• Supporting its students: Today, over 70 children from Niles are enrolled across three partner schools: Embers Academy (co-ed, Pre-K–5), Northridge Prep (all-boys, grades 6–12), Willows Academy (all-girls, grades 6–12). The vast majority of Embers students continue at Northridge (for boys) or Willows (for girls) for middle and high school. Enrollment of families living in Niles at these schools has climbed steadily in recent years, and the trend is expected to continue.
• Home values. Once Northridge is permanently anchored in Niles with this new property, it expects that over the coming decade many of its families will desire to move into the area, boosting home values. Conversely, the loss of Northridge from Niles would influence families to move away.
• Supporting local businesses.  Each year Northridge’s non-resident families—and those drawn by its athletic, social, and summer programs—bring thousands of visitors to Niles. These guests routinely shop at local restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, coffee and fast-food outlets, home-goods shops, and auto-service centers. Northridge itself has long been an active member of the Niles Chamber of Commerce.
• Community involvement. Northridge students organize fundraisers for local veterans, participate in parades and local golf tournaments, and visit the elderly in nursing homes. 
• Shared athletic facilities. For years, the Niles Park District has used the Northridge gymnasium to conduct some of its youth recreational leagues. We hope and believe the partnership could expand with the new facilities on the new property.

Yes. Over the past several years, we’ve evaluated more than ten potential sites throughout the surrounding suburbs and even submitted an offer on a property in Glenview. Throughout that process, Niles has always remained our preferred location due to its proximity to schools we work closely with (Embers Academy and Willows Academy). We also value the village’s culture, its accessibility from across Chicagoland, and its genuine, down-to-earth character —which we believe closely aligns with our school’s values.
