Knights Come Out Swinging at Third Annual Boxing Night

Boxing Night 2025

For the third year in a row, hundreds of students, parents, and teachers gathered to cheer on eighteen courageous Northridge boxers. Our Knights stepped into the ring and put all of their disciplined training to the test across nine exciting bouts.

Every boxer showed up with grit, competed with heart, and left having proven something to themselves and the whole school community.

A huge thank you to the coaches, officials, and volunteers who made the night possible, especially Coach Emmett McGovern, whose organization and dedication brought the whole event together. He put together a team of coaches who guided every step and encouraged every boxer as they prepared for the big night. They are Coaches Emmett McGovern Jr., Trevor Stotts, Ron Ellingsen, and Kelly Manalo, supported by the skilled and caring team of Dr. Rocky Romano and trainer Mike McCormick. Finally, judges Hatch, Brandstetter, and Mayor Alpogianis were thorough and fair, and Northridge is grateful for their support.

It takes real courage to walk into a boxing ring and all eighteen of our young men did exactly that, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Congratulations, Knights!
