“I thought the camp was extremely fun with how we did real-life things. I liked how we were able to put what we learned into practice.”
-(Student from Western Springs)
“You gave (my son) so much confidence that I believe he wants to follow in your footsteps in the sneaker business!”
-(Dad from Chicago)
This Northridge Summer Camp will proceed in accordance with the IL. Dept. of Health Guidelines. Most activities described below will occur, but may be modified to some degree to comply with the guidelines.
Investments & Personal Finance will introduce your son to the skills he needs to grow his hard-earned money into business opportunities, charitable giving, or whatever interesting project he can dream up! Campers will develop the critical life skills of prudent saving, spending, and investing — all under the guidance of two Northridge High School seniors and small business owners who began developing these skills themselves in 7th & 8th grade.
WHY INVESTMENTS & PERSONAL FINANCE?
Making informed and effective decisions with money can have a profound effect on a student’s life. As future business leaders and heads of households, students must possess a virtuous approach to money, strong financial literacy skills, virtue, and discipline. The camp will incorporate hands-on exercises in a fun and dynamic way to help campers learn about:
