Fall Sports Awards (and a Cross Country update!)

This week the Northridge Cross-Country and Golf Teams celebrated the athletic season with their awards nights. Both teams enjoyed overall successful seasons despite the uncertainty and challenges posed by the pandemic. Congratulations to all of our fall sports student-athletes on representing us well this year. Post-season honors are as follows:

For the Cross County Knights:

  • All-State and All-Conference for Andrew Brockmeier ’21
  • All-Conference for Aidan Martin ’21, Anthony Vazquez ’21, Max Elder ’23, and Mark Masaka ’23.
  • Andrew Brockmeier for the Cross-Country team’s Maroon-Gold Award
  • Aidan Martin for the Scholar-Athlete award.
For the Golf Knights:
  • David Fuentes ’21 for All-Conference and the team’s Maroon-Gold Award winner
  • Nick Neumayer ’21 for the Scholar-Athlete award.
In other Cross Country News…
Given that the IHSA canceled this year’s state series in Cross-Country, a group of Northridge runners formed an outside-of-school club team. They competed against other Illinois clubs in a club-level state championship meet and finished in 6th place! GO KNIGHTS!
