About Dr. Kelliher
Tom earned his B.A. from Columbia University in 1981 and his Ph.D. in American History from the University of Notre Dame. A proud Yankees fan with a passion for strategy, he’s known for teaching negotiation skills through the board game Diplomacy.
After graduating from Columbia, Tom taught for six years at The Heights School before completing his doctoral studies. He joined Northridge in 1992 and for 25 years organized and led student trips to Civil War battlefields.
At Northridge, Tom teaches American History in both High School and Middle School.
