Rob, a Northridge alumnus from the class of 2010, was an All-State basketball player and recipient of the school’s Dave Burns Scholar-Athlete Award. He earned a B.A., History, with a minor in Business Economics, from the University of Notre Dame in 2014 and an M.A., Secondary Education and Teaching, from North Park University in 2022.

After graduating from Notre Dame, Rob returned to Northridge as a teacher and assistant varsity basketball coach. In 2016, he became Director of Admissions, a role he held for four years before returning to the classroom in 2020.

In 2025, he was named Athletic Director, succeeding his father, Coach Will Rey. Rob lives in Edison Park with his wife, Simone, and their young family.
