Michele is married to Bill Whalen, former Northridge Dean of Students. Her two daughters graduated from Willows Academy and her two sons graduated from Northridge. All four children are married, and she and Bill are the proud grandparents to thirteen grandchildren.

At Northridge, Michele serves as Admissions Coordinator. In her spare time, she enjoys paper art crafting and teaching Sign Language to children.
