Mike earned his B.S. from Illinois State University and is a graduate of Maine East High School, where he was an all-state cross-country runner. An accomplished competitive runner, Mike ran an astonishing 4:07 mile while in college and has since become a Horton Physical Education award winner and a national championship masters runner. He’s been named Chicago Area Runner of the Year three times and Chicago Area Masters Runner of the Year four times.

At Northridge, Mike teaches Physical Education in both Middle School and High School. He and his wife have one son, Justin.
