Joe earned his B.A. in English Education from Purdue University and his M.A. in Catholic Studies from the University of St. Thomas. He has been teaching since 2001, most recently as a Latin and Classical Studies instructor at Highlands Latin School in Indianapolis.

After more than 20 years in the Indianapolis area, Joe and his wife, Faye, relocated their family to Chicagoland in August 2023 so he could teach at Northridge and their children could attend Northridge, Willows, and Embers.

At Northridge, Joe teaches Theology, English, and Art & Music in both Middle School and High School. In his free time, he enjoys practicing Taekwondo with his six children, playing upright bass in their family bluegrass band, and keeping honeybees.
