Emmett earned his B.A. from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and holds two M.A. degrees from Northeastern Illinois University and Concordia University Chicago. He spent eighteen years at Saint Patrick High School, where he taught Business for two years before spending sixteen years as a Counselor and assistant basketball coach. He served as Director of Student Services for nine of those years.

At Northridge, Emmett serves as Dean of Students and Head of Advisory. He and his wife, Colleen, are both lifetime Chicagoans who have been married for forty years. They have four children and many grandchildren.
