THEO 201: Sacred Scripture

Course Description
The course is centered on a proper theological understanding of the Bible. Using primary sources, archaeology, and philosophy, students will come to understand the different literary genres used in the Bible and to interpret biblical passages contextually. Students will study the formation of the canon of Scripture, God’s relationship with man as presented in the Bible, and the relationship between Judeo-Christian writings and other ancient texts.
