SCI 70: Life Science

Core

Course Description

This course reintroduces topics common throughout the sciences such as hypothesis testing, measurement, and observation. It builds a foundation in the biological sciences and prepares the students for future study in chemistry. Above all, this course seeks to instill in students a sense of wonder towards the world of life, which naturally leads to curiosity about its hidden processes and causes. In class, students will analyze the parts of living things (from the cellular to organismal level), use evolutionary and ecological concepts to explain biological phenomena, and more.
