HIST 507-508: AP United States History

Course Description
This course is an intensive survey that will cover American History from the colonial period to 2000. It will examine a variety of themes, including cultural, political, economic, religious, and social developments. This course should help students appreciate the complexity and richness of American History. Throughout the course, students will be expected to write coherent essays that demonstrate a deep understanding of American History, familiarize themselves with historiography by reading how different historians have interpreted events, and organize a large body of information in a sophisticated manner.
