Course Description
World War I is often referenced as the “Great War” or “The War to End all Wars,” and yet it fell at the beginning of the bloodiest century in human history.
This course will treat the origins, impact, and aftermath of the deluge that transformed Europe and the world. Topics dealt with include the origins of the World War I, the military history of the war, the political and social transformations it wrought, as well as the subsequent memory of the war.
