Core

Course Description
The 7th Grade English Course will teach students to write more effectively, read more carefully, and speak more confidently. Throughout the course, students will build their moral imaginations, learn to appreciate poetry, and understand important issues in life through literature. The writing portion of the curriculum will be executed according to IEW standards, with particular emphasis on the process and craftsmanship of writing. Students will learn how to express themselves through class discussion, one-on-one conversations with others, and formal presentations.
