ENG 61: Language Arts

6th Grade Language Arts focuses on the mechanics of writing, particularly grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. Much of the content of the course will be taken from the Institute of Excellence in Writing curriculum, and goes hand in hand with the 6th Grade English course (ENG 60). Areas of focus include: learning to apply varied sentence structure, grasping the main idea of a narritive through keyword outlines, learning to apply strong verbs and adjectives when writing, and creating original narritives.
