About Our Program
The Northridge Basketball program sponsors teams at the Varsity, Junior-Varsity, Sophomore, and Freshman levels. The Knights are members of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and compete in the Independent School League (ISL). Each year the Knights’ non-conference schedule features many of the top high school programs in the Chicago-area, along with hosting the Battle at the ‘Ridge Thanksgiving Tournament (now in its 16th year) and competing in the Plano Christmas Classic, one of the state’s longest-running and historic holiday tournaments. In addition, the basketball program offers a highly-competitive and instructional summer program for Varsity and Junior-Varsity. As part of the summer program, the Varsity takes a “barn-storming trip” in June where they compete against some of the top high school programs in other areas of the country. Over the past 16 years, the Varsity summer team has traveled to Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri, and Minnesota.
