A Championship Tradition

Northridge is a member of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and sponsors six interscholastic team sports โ€“ in the fall our students compete in Cross-Country, Golf and Soccer; Basketball is offered in the winter; and, in the spring, the Knights participate in Baseball and Track and Field. Additionally, the Athletic Department has sponsored individual competitors in Swimming and Tennis. Northridge is also a member of the highly competitive and well-respected Independent School League (ISL).

In recent years, the Northridge name has become synonymous with competitive excellence in the state of Illinois. The Knights have garnered championships at the conference, Regional, and Sectional levels in a variety of sports. In addition, Northridge student-athletes have been named to All-Conference, All-State, and All-American teams in their respective sports. Whatโ€™s more, Northridge coaches have received numerous Coach-of-the-Year honors both at the conference and state levels.

All things considered, the Northridge experience allows athletically gifted young men to fulfill their potential in their respective sports while still enjoying the benefits of a small-school environment that focuses on character formation. Above all else, Northridge coaches see themselves as educators and mentors. Success in the competitive arena serves primarily as a vehicle for Northridge coaches to help build men of integrity and virtue.

As we coaches like to say, โ€œSports at Northridge are not just about the scoreboard; they are about growing up!โ€ Hopefully, you will decide to join us and become part of the Knightsโ€™ athletic tradition!

Go Knights!
