Guitar 101

Category: Enrichment

Overview

Guitar 101 is a starting place for any boy who loves music, and wants to learn to play. This camp is designed for boys with little to no experience playing the guitar, and requires boys to bring their own guitar, electronic tuner, guitar pick, and capo to every day of camp.

Why Guitar 101?

We believe that with good instruction and diligent practice, every boy can become a musician. Guitar 101 builds the foundational skills your son will need to play any genre — including Rock, Blues, Classical, and more.  The camp concludes with a group performance where boys get to impress family and friends with their new skills. Campers will learn skills like:

  • Open Chords
  • Classical Guitar Technique
  • Rudiments of Rock & Blues Improvisation
  • Note Reading
  • Guitar Tablature
  • Singing and Playing popular songs
