Overview

In the Fishing 101 summer camp, boys will get to explore and learn about the intricate sport of fishing. Campers will begin by learning the basics of fishing, learning how to set up a fishing pole, casting, and most importantly: catching a fish! The skills taught in this camp include:

  • Setting up a fishing pole
  • Casting
  • Reeling
  • When and where to use certain fishing bait(s)
  • The different types of fishing equipment

    Mr. Michael Amato, Northridge Prep class of 2020, University of Dallas Class of 2024

    Mr. Amato developed a passion for fishing at a young age. Since then, he has mastered the sport of fishing, traveling across the country with the sole intention of catching fish. As a native of the Chicago suburbs, he has spent plenty of time fishing in the area, allowing him to learn the best fishing spots within the Chicagoland area.
