Epic Book Club

Category: Enrichment

Overview

Do you want your son to experience books in a totally different way and enjoy reading them? The Epic Book Club is meant to make your kids have fun while reading some of the best children’s classics. Besides reading aloud, we will be doing a lot of original and dynamic activities that will make the books come to life.

Why Epic Book Club?

On this occasion, we will read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach, both books written by the extraordinary author Roald Dahl. Campers will read these books during the camp and enact some of the scenes found within each chapter. Activities at the camp related to the stories in the books include:

  • Chocolate-Tasting Competition
  • Flying Peaches
  • Build your own Chocolate Factory
  • Bug hunting activities
  • Book Scenes vs Movie scenes comparisons
