Annual Northridge Mother-Son Luncheon: An Afternoon to Remember

More than 500 students, teachers, and mothers came together in March for the annual Mother-Son Luncheon, one of Northridge’s most cherished traditions. It was a full and meaningful afternoon, beginning with an all-school Mass at Northridge. Following Mass, mothers and sons made their way to the Hilton Northbrook, where the formal luncheon was held. The venue was a wonderful setting for an afternoon of good food, great company, and memorable moments.

The luncheon itself featured a moving performance by the Men’s Chorus, as well as raffles and prizes. The emotional highlight of the afternoon came from the senior Knights, who each publicly thanked their mom for their love, selflessness, sacrifice, and support throughout their years at Northridge.

Hosting such a lovely event takes a lot of work and generosity and this event would not have been possible without the hard work of Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer Castle and event chair Tatiana Amorella. We are so grateful for them and their dedicated team of volunteers who organized and staffed the event from setup to finish: Michelle Parada, Michelle Cabanilla, Dawn Kaczynski, Aimee Donovan, Eileen Finaly, Jaime Vasquez, Shannon Gannon, and Julie White. Their generosity of time and energy made the whole afternoon possible, and the Northridge community is grateful for it.

To all the mothers who attended, days like this one are a small reflection of how much you are appreciated. We look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come.
