Here, the word “Homestay” goes far beyond “room and board.” Our very own current families host international students during their time with us -- treating them as one of their own. In order to match your son with the right host family, we make it a priority to fully understand the student and his background.
Mastering the English Language
Over the years, the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program has proven to be a crucial part of a full english immersion experience at Northridge. In class, our ESL instructors provide personalized attention to each student’s linguistic needs. Students are placed in the ESL class that best matches their skill level.
Chicago!
We set aside two Saturdays a month for excursions in the Chicagoland area and its vicinity. From admiring cultural masterpieces at the Art Institute of Chicago, to visiting the city’s towering buildings, to enjoying the sights and sounds of the historic Wrigley Field, these full-day excursions cater to all interests and offer a rich cultural experience to our students.
Exploring America Trips
Besides Chicago, Northridge provides international students with the opportunity to explore other great American cities through two out-of-state trips. A group of 5-7 students is invited on a trip of a lifetime that consists of visits to: prestigious universities, historical sights, museums, and more. The Exploring America trips are intended for older students and are carefully planned around long weekends.
