Monday & Wednesday
The Entrepreneurship Club is new to Northridge! This year we’ll focus on the crucial competency of creating a compelling business case. The first half of the year will focus on a “pitch” – developing the core concept for a new company, and an ability to make and sell the idea in 3 minutes. Each member of the club will develop a pitch and participate in a “pitch competition” in December. In the second semester, the group will form into teams to develop the most compelling “pitches” into full fledged business cases. The year will culminate in a business case competition: teams compete to provide the most compelling business case. Both the pitch and business case competition will be judged by a panel of experienced entrepreneurs.
In addition, throughout the year we will bring in Entrepreneurs from the Chicago area to address various aspects of developing a great pitch and business case; understanding the market; the components of a great business idea; how to make a full business case; and how to (ENTREPRENEURSHIP cont’d) sell your idea. Our alumni, parent and faculty network provide access to some top notch speakers in this area. Meetings outside of Activity Period will be minimal, on a team needed basis. Individual work will be needed outside activity period. Led by Charlie Fox, NRP senior & Mr. Fagan, Headmaster.
