While the classroom is paramount, a man has much to learn beyond it.
Northridge’s mission is to educate the whole person. While the classroom is paramount, a man has much to learn beyond it. Our Clubs, Music & Drama programs, Halls, Academic Teams, Athletics Teams, and more provide our students both rich experiences that increase our young men’s breadth of vision and understanding of the world and with coaches who see these activities as means of forming virtue through exciting experiences.
Northridge provides a rich and diverse extracurricular program with over 90% of our students participating in at least one extracurricular – and a benefit of a smaller school is that most students are able to take leadership roles that stretch them. This, plus our vibrant school spirit, creates an exciting student life.
Inside of Northridge
With 30 on-campus clubs and organizations, you’re going to find something that fits your interests. You might want to be a member of one of our six Varsity sports, be the star in a drama production, or be a leading member of our school as a Hall Leader. Maybe you’ll get involved as a member of the National Honor Society or become a loyal Superfan of the Knights at our ISL Conference games!
Outside of Northridge
One of the ways we prepare our students for life after high school is through community-based service. Here are a few examples of how Northridge students give back to the community:
- Little City: Our students get the amazing opportunity to work/volunteer at the Little City home for adults with autism, for a full day each month.
- The Turkey Drive: Our students collect and deliver turkeys for the hungry and homeless around Thanksgiving.
- Visiting Nursing Homes: Our students, typically in small groups, give their time to visiting the elderly on a frequent basis.
- Baby Bottle Drive: Students put their time and energy to a great cause by collecting as much change to donate to the Women’s Care Center, helping moms with unplanned pregnancies.
These great examples plus many more give our students the gift of giving back.
