APPLICATION PROCESS

STEP ONE: SHADOW DAY

All prospective students are cordially invited to spend a day at Northridge for a Shadow Day. Please click here for Shadow Day details.

STEP TWO: APPLY ONLINE

In order to begin the application process to Northridge, the first step is to submit a completed application package online here.

In our application portal you will submit the following:

  • Transcript & Records Request Form (to be printed, filled out, and given to your son’s current school).
  • A Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or administrator at your son’s current school.
  • $50 application processing fee.

In addition, all applicants will provide a short writing sample and read aloud to their interviewer during the Student & Parent Interview.

Note: An entrance exam is not part of our application process; we have found that it does not add additional value.

STEP THREE: STUDENT & PARENT INTERVIEW

The final step of the application process will be for the applicant and both of his parents to come in for a brief interview with the Director of Admissions. This interview is required and typically lasts about 45 minutes. The Student & Parent Interview can be scheduled online in our application portal, or by contacting us at 847.375-0600. You can schedule the interview before all your application documents are uploaded; however we must receive them and the teacher recommendation at least two days prior to the interview.
